I used to be a go-go dancer in a rock n' roll band! Yes, that's me . . . before I met Jesus that is. I wasn't 100% sure what it all meant the day I raised my hand in that little country church, but forty years later I'm an ordained minister and I've travelled the world sharing my songs, art and stories.

I'd never been taught to pray, and never owned a Bible, and had no church affiliation. But it made sense to me that if you want to fall in love with someone you have to talk together. So, as soon as the kids were off to school, I'd push my $7 garage sale chair over to the window . . . and talk, to God.

I discovered God talks the loudest through His Word. To my surprise, His words inspired volumes of creativity I never knew I had.

I began to write songs and sing with my guitar. At first, it was just sitting on the edge of that $7 chair singing to Him. Then, I began to get phone calls (out of the blue) asking me to come to sing at ladies' groups and church services. At one particular meeting, a couple approached me and told me God wanted them to financially support the making of my first album: Jesus Is Lord Now.

It all started with a raised hand, a $7 chair, and a phone call.
