Meet
Marji

A Storyteller with a Heart full of Grace

Hi, I’m Marji—author, speaker, artist, musician, and joyful exhorter. For decades, I’ve been walking alongside women like you through the messy, beautiful, and often unexpected terrain of faith. Whether it’s through a heartfelt story, a song, or a sketch in one of my books, I want you to know: you are not alone.

In 2005, I experienced a serious fall when the stage collapsed during a speaking engagement. I hit the edge of the platform, broke a bone in my back, and injured my neck. I sadly realized that I could no longer sing without experiencing significant pain in my jaw and up the back of my head. It was a tremendous loss of love and identity. God gradually revealed that my true gift wasn’t music—it was creativity. With a fresh perspective, I picked up a pen and paintbrush, and God inspired me with a new way to encourage others through writing and art.

That’s why I write. That’s why I speak. And that’s why I continue to share these stories with you.

From the Porch Swing to the Platform

The porch swing has always been my peaceful retreat. I would go there every morning after my husband died because watching the sunrise reminded me that the steadfast love of the Lord never changes. I felt His faithfulness in that quiet spot, which helped me through the deep waters of grief and loss. It has been my safe haven during my battles with cancer, when I wrestled with fear, unbelief, and discouragement. Each time, I found the strength I needed for that day.

My journey in ministry began with music. I traveled across the country, singing and sharing my testimony at churches, retreats, and conferences. In 2020, as I was preparing to minister in Ukraine, images of myself singing kept flashing into my mind. I hesitated at first because I believed I still couldn’t sing. But the image kept coming back. So, I dusted off my guitar, and to my surprise, I was able to sing without pain! I’m blessed to say my ministry now includes art, writing, and music.

What I Believe

01

I believe the Bible to be the inspired and authoritative Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16,17).

02

I believe there is one God, Creator of all things, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:15)

03

I believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ in His incarnation, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious death and atonement through His shed Blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His priestly ministry.(1 Timothy 3:16, Romans 3:25,26)

04

I believe that marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for lifetime and is a sacred institution established by God.(Matthew 19:4-6)

05

I believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. We further believe in the keeping power of God.
(Hebrews 9:22; Jude 24-25)

06

I believe that Baptism is for believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and is to be administered by immersion, thus bearing witness to the gospel of Christ's death, burial and resurrection for us, and our own new life in Him.(Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4)

07

I believe in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit as on the day of Pentecost and in the continuing ministry of the Holy Spirit as evidenced in charismatic gifts and ministries, and in the fruit of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer.(Acts 2:4; Acts 10:46; Ephesians 4:11; 1 Corinthians 12:8-11; Galatians 5:22-23)

08

I believe that divine healing is obtained on the basis of the Atonement.
(1 Peter 2:24; Matthew 8:17).
