The bird in this picture is not a sparrow, but it makes me think of the famous hymn His Eye Is On the Sparrow. It is inspired by the words of Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew.
"Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?"(Matt 6:26)
"Are not two sparrows sold for a copper penny? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows." Matthew 10:29-31
"Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God by Him, seeing He ever lives to make intercession for them." Hebrews 7:25 NKJV
